A delightful and authentic Art Deco lidded pot (likely a teapot, coffee pot, or hot water jug) by the renowned English maker Royal Winton (Grimwades Ltd). This piece features the patented non-drip spout and locking lid design (UK Patent No. 301262, granted in 1928), often associated with their 'Albany' shape. The cream-coloured body is vibrantly decorated with a striking Art Deco band of colourful stylised flowers against a black background, with elegant gilt trim. The base carries the 'GRIMWADES MADE IN ENGLAND' backstamp.
Period: Circa 1930s.
Condition: Appears to be in very good vintage condition for its age. The colours are bright, and the glaze is clean. There may be some minor age-appropriate wear to the gilt trim. No obvious chips or cracks are visible in the images. The interior appears clean.
