Original King German Stoneware Pitcher 242 Cobalt Blue & Grey Grapes Wine Scene

A traditional German stoneware pitcher by Original King, model number 242.

This charming pitcher features a two-tone glaze with a grey upper section and a rich cobalt blue lower section. It is decorated in relief with detailed scenes of figures in a vineyard or wine-making setting, complete with grapes and leaves. The top rim and handle base also carry grape cluster motifs.

Marked on the base 'Original KING 242' and a '2' (possibly indicating capacity or series). A classic piece of Westerwald pottery.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant crazing. Colours remain vibrant. A small unglazed patch on the very bottom rim is common in such pottery and not considered damage.
