A charming vintage miniature ceramic stein or mug, produced in a traditional German souvenir style, likely in Japan during the mid-20th century (circa 1960s).
This small collectible features detailed, hand-painted relief-moulded scenes. One side depicts a man in traditional attire (red hat, green jacket) enjoying a drink from a tankard, while the other side showcases a picturesque castle or fortified town. It has a classic beige base glaze with colourful accents.
Condition: Fair to good vintage condition. The colours are generally well-preserved. Please note there is significant crazing to the glaze, particularly visible on the base (see photo) and likely present across the piece. There is also some minor rubbing wear to the glaze on the handle. No obvious chips or major cracks. A lovely little display piece or addition to a collection of miniature steins or vintage souvenirs.
Weight: 146g.
