Bagley Wyndham Art Deco Green Frosted Uranium Glass Vase & Frog Set

A stunning and iconic Art Deco "Wyndham" vase (Pattern No. 3069) complete with its original matching flower frog/plinth, by Bagley & Co. of Knottingley, England, dating from the 1930s. This striking set is crafted from beautiful green uranium (Vaseline) glass, which exhibits a vibrant bright green fluorescence under UV light.

The diamond-shaped vase features a sophisticated frosted/satin finish on its main body, beautifully contrasted by clear, sharp radiating ribs and a clear stepped pedestal base. The separate, diamond-shaped flower frog is made from clear green uranium glass and is designed to perfectly accommodate the vase base while providing support for flower stems. This complete ensemble is a quintessential piece of British Art Deco design.

Condition: The vase itself is in good vintage condition, with the frosted finish well-preserved and no major chips or cracks apparent. The flower frog/plinth is present, which is a significant plus; however, it does have a small chip/area of roughness on one of its outer corners (please see IMG_4647 for detail). This is a common point of vulnerability for these frogs but does not overly detract from the display value of this rare set. The combined weight of the vase and frog is 1209 grams.
